Obituary for Genevieve L Tekavec
Funeral Mass for Genevieve L. (nee Nasser) Tekavec, 92, of Willoughby, will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Fr. Tim Kalista will officiate the Mass.
Mrs. Tekavec passed away Friday, April 29, 2016, at her daughter’s residence in Leroy Twp.
She was born April 10, 1924, in Cleveland.
She was the loving mother of Mary (Paul) Worley of Chardon, Debra (Patrick) Decker of Powell and Toni (David) Ovens of Leroy Township; cherished grandmother of Jeremy (Cassandra), Jacob (Sandra), Jordan, Jessica (Peter), Erica (Gabriel), Kaitlin, Joshua, Andrew and Nicholas; great-grandmother of Allison, Oliver and Garon; and sister-in-law of MaryJane (Jerry) Kusar, Betty Corrao, Helen Tekavec and James (Barbara) Tekavec. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Anthony E. Tekavec; parents, Asber and Adel Nasser; sisters, Evelyn and Josephine; and brothers, Joseph and James.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name are suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
