Private services will be held for Sharen D. (nee Vliek) Dufopulos, 71, of Mentor. Mrs. Dufopulos passed away Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland. Born Oct. 26, 1942, in Cleveland, she had been a Lake County resident for the past 39 years, living in Mentor and had previously lived in Geneva. Sharen's family was her life. She was the beloved wife of 37 years to Chris Dufopulos; loving mother of Joel D. (Ann) Miller, Michelle L. (John) Kodrich, Diane L. (Randy) Houska, Chris (Danielle) Dufopulos and Lucy (Jim) Duvolos; cherished grandmother of 16; sister of Chuck (Judy) Vliek, John (Marilyn) Vliek, Joe (Heather) Vliek and Debbie (Ditmer) Moegelin; and aunt of nieces and nephews. Sharen was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Gladys (nee Swenson) Vliek. Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery. In addition to flowers, donations in her name may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110. www.MCVfuneralhomes.com
