Funeral services for Riley Johnson, 69, of Willowick, will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St., (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Mr. Johnson passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at his residence in Willowick with his family at his side. Born Jan. 25, 1942, in Beinsville, Ky., he had been a Lake County resident for the past 51 years. He loved and cherished every moment with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, and always had an open door. His strong sense of humor was loved by all. He was the loving father of Lesa S. (Todd) Weisfeld of Solon, Douglas (Lisa) Johnson of Kernersville, N.C., and Kimberly (James) Brazee of Mentor; cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Rebecca and Adam Weisfeld, Sierra, Chelsea and Marena Johnson and Stephanie and Lauren Brazee; brother of Emely Edge, Rose Annie Martin, Thomas Johnson, Lona Childers, Marie Woodrow, Louise Elswick, Juanita Caudill, Beulah Tackett, Hershell Johnson, Russell Johnson and Leona Newsome; and the uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie A. (Twigger) Johnson; and parents, Pearlie (Osborne) and Riley Johnson Sr. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Pastor Larry Pozza will officiate. Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery.
