Funeral services for Nancy M. (Hanslik) Johnson, 71, of Concord Township, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace Church, 6883 Reynolds Road, Mentor. (Family and friends are asked to please meet at the church.) Mrs. Johnson passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at The Cleveland Clinic with her family at her side. Born Aug. 31, 1939, in East Cleveland, she had lived in Chardon before moving to Lake County 15 years ago, living in Concord Township. Nancy worked for Lake Hospital Systems at LakeEast Hospital in the admitting department, retiring in 1989. In her leisure time, she loved to sew and cross stitch. She was the loving mother of Debra J. (Ron) Barak of Chardon and Bob (Karolyn) Johnson of Chardon; cherished grandmother of Michael and Jessica Barak and Thomas Johnson; sister of John "Jack" (Rose) Hanslik of Willoughby and Shirley (Michael) Young of Painesville; and aunt of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Ruth (nee Roberts) Hanslik; and sister, Joan Schultz Geyer. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Pastor Tim Potter of Grace Church will officiate. Burial will be private. The family suggests donations in her name be made to The Cleveland Clinic Cardiac Unit, 9500 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106, or The Grace Church, 6883 Reynolds Road, Mentor, OH 44060.
