Henry Joseph "Hushy" Suchetka of Willoughby died Feb. 11, 2014, three weeks after his 88th birthday, following a lengthy illness. He is survived by his brother, Hobbs, of Willoughby; children, Connie (Frank) Jaklic of Hertford, N.C., Diane of Cleveland Heights, Mike of Willoughby and Dennis (Mary E.) of Willoughby; grandchildren, Erika Jaklic (Ryan) McCoy, Justin Jaklic, Angela (Chris), Alexandria, Taylor and Daniel Suchetka; and great-grandchildren, Sophie McCoy and Collin Childs. His wife, Mary, died in 2009. Henry was born Jan. 20, 1926, in Fairpoint, enlisted in the Navy at the age of 17 and served aboard the U.S.S. St. Louis during World War II. The Second Class Radarman remained in Asian waters after the war to help servicemen return home, and returned home himself at the age of 20. Henry spent his working years as an auto body repairman for a number of car dealerships throughout the Cleveland area. He will be remembered by his family for his love of cherry vanilla ice cream, baseball, gardening, dancing and corny jokes (is that a banana in your ear, Pops?). The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at The Abbey of Willoughby, located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township. The family suggests contributions to the Henry J.
