Memorial graveside services for Fredonna J. (Rose) Cottrell, 85, of Mentor, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Whitehaven Cemetery, 615 SOM Center Road, Gates Mills. (Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.) Mrs. Cottrell passed away Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Golden Living Center-Western Reserve in Kirtland. Born May 26, 1925, in Zanesville, she had been a Lake County resident for 52 years. Fredonna loved and enjoyed her family and her church. She worked many year at Manninos Pharmacy in Mentor as a pharmacy technician and in the jewelry department at Dillard's. She was the loving mother of Rose Mary (John) Ruff of Lower Burrell, Pa., Thomas D. (Nancy) Stroop of Chester Township, and Joyce E. Wallace of Paragould, Ark.; mother-in-law of Mary Jo Cottrell of Mentor; cherished grandmother of five; and great-grandmother of five. He was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert T. Stroop; husband, Harold Cottrell; children, John Cottrell and Chris Cottrell; and siblings, Thelma Bailey and Eugene Rose. Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
