Funeral Mass for Bertha E. (nee Kastelic) Zenz, 85, of Mentor, will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor. Fr. Russ Rauscher will officiate the Mass. Mrs. Zenz passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014. Born March 29, 1928, in Cleveland, she had been a Lake County resident for the past 14 years, living in Mentor. She was a member of St. John Vianney Church in Mentor and a former member of St. Paschal Baylon Church and St. Ann's Lodge of St. Lawrence Church. In her leisure time, she loved to bake, crochet and knit. She also enjoyed puzzles and reading. She was the loving mother of Robert G. (Lisa) Zenz of Mentor, Allan W. (Sandra) Zenz of Mentor, Richard M. (Pam) Zenz of Concord Township and Darlene M. (Richard) DeLeandro of Mentor; cherished grandmother of Allan Zenz, Christopher Zenz, Richard (Kristen) DeLeandro, Heather (Jim) Tokarski and Robert Zenz III; great-grandmother of Corey Zenz; and aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert N. Zenz in 1997; parents, Dominic and Anna (nee Novak) Kastelic; and siblings, Daniel Kastelic, Anna Tekaucic, Mary Kastelic, Rudy Kastelic, Frank Kastelic, Antonia Selesnik, Victor Kastelic, Rose DiMatteo and Dorothy Zoretich. Family will receive friends from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
