Obituary for Francis L "Frank" O'Neil

Funeral services for Francis L. "Frank" O'Neil, 91, of Mentor, will be 1 p.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor.
Mr. O'Neil passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, at Mentor Woods Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mentor.
Born Sept. 28, 1924, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Lake County for the past 55 years, living in Mentor.
Frank was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Mentor and a U.S. Army veteran. He loved playing cards and was a "Master" at Bridge. He also enjoyed golfing.
Mr. O'Neil was in truck sales and was a past President of the Trucking Association in Cuyahoga County.
He as the loving father of Thomas J. O'Neil and Diane J. Gregory; cherished grandfather of Dennis K. Gregory, Keith F. Gregory and Judith A. Gregory; brother of Dolores Berichon; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret J. (nee Kelly) O'Neil; son, Michael J. O'Neil; parents, Thomas and Joanna (nee Prendergast) O'Neil; and siblings, Margaret "Peg" Dubick, Anna Mae Lumsin and Lee O'Neil.
Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
