Obituary for Daniel R McCord

Celebration of Life services for Daniel R. McCord, 78, of Willoughby, will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), Willoughby.
Mr. McCord passed away Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights.
Born Nov. 28, 1937, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Lake County for the past 35 years.
Dan was a member of Pipefitters Union Local 120, Willoughby Eagles Aerie 2300, Palmer-Roberts American Legion Post 214 in Willoughby and the Willoughby Elks. He enjoyed traveling, bowling, golf and building computers.
He was the beloved husband of Cheryl (nee Kickham) McCord; loving father of Daniel (Cristen) McCord of South Euclid; and cherished grandfather of Kimberly.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at The Abbey of Willoughby. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name are suggested to Cleveland Clinic Hospice, 6801 Brecksville Road, Suite 10, Independence, OH 44131.
