Obituary for Linda Suzanne Cartee

Linda Suzanne Cartee
Linda Suzanne Cartee born Oct. 24, 1946, in Salem, Ohio, died June 25, 2015, at Hospice of the Western Reserve (David House). Linda passed away on the 100th anniversary date of our her mother's and her mother's twin, Aunt Alice Kendrick's birthday. Linda was the third of seven children born to the late William and Allene (nee Hertz) Wagoner.
Linda attended elementary school at Immaculate Conception in Garrettsville and St. Anne in Cleveland Heights. She then attended Roxboro Junior High School in Cleveland Heights, and graduated from Cleveland Heights High School. Linda married Marvin Fuller at a young age and gave birth to three sons. They divorced some years later and then Marvin passed away. Linda then moved in with her parents, who helped to raise her children.
After her children were grown, she met Dan Cartee, while working at Dial Manufacturing in Solon. They were married a few years later and were happy together in spite of many ups and downs. They did both suffer a lot of health issues but managed to be together until Dan passed away three years ago.
In her younger years, Linda loved dancing, stuffed animals, word search books and puzzles. She continued her love of puzzles all of her life and she also had a large collection of angels. She loved animals, especially dolphins, wolves, horses and dogs. She also loved doing crafts and sharing her works with the family. She was a generous and good-hearted person and loved her family, especially the children. Linda’s health was already declining when Dan passed away. She had been out of contact with the family for part of that time and only recently, when diagnosed as terminal, reconnected with them.
"We all feel blessed that God brought us together again so that we could take care of Linda during the last months of her illness. It was an honor to love and comfort our sister/mother and make her last days filled with peace, love and caring."
Linda’s family would like to thank the Hospice of the Western Reserve (David Simpson Hospice House) in Cleveland for the kindness they showed to Linda during the two weeks before her death. They treated her with the utmost dignity and were so very supportive to us. Words cannot express our gratitude.
Funeral Mass will be held 12 noon Friday, July 3, 2015, at St. John Vianney Church in Mentor. Family will receive friends before and after Mass. Interment will be held at a later date with her late husband Dan Cartee at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve (David Simpson Hospice House), 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
"Thank you for all the prayers, love and support given to us and Linda by our family and friends."
