Funeral Mass for Roger J. Svoboda, 83, of Euclid, will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ss. Robert and William Parish, 367 E. 260th St., Euclid. Mr. Svoboda passed away Jan. 15, 2015. Born Jan. 11, 1932, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Euclid for more than 50 years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Elks in Florida and the Euclid Jaycees. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and loved golf and boating. He was the loving father of Linda A. (John) Kelley of Mentor-on-the-Lake, Daniel M. (Irma) Svoboda of Roanoke, Va., and Dennis M. (Carla) Svoboda of Euclid; cherished grandfather of John (Christine), Wendy (Mark), Jennifer, Scott (Debbie), Kimberle (Sean) and Bryan (Katie); and great-grandfather of Noah, Zachary, Jonathon, Isaac, Dakota and Lillian. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joycelen J. (nee Burns) Svoboda; parents, Jerry and Stella (nee Gladyszewski) Svoboda; and brother, Clarence Svoboda. Family will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
