Celebration of Life services for Linda Lee (nee Crawford) (Reschke) Kornblum, will be held 8 p.m. Sunday at Prince of Peace of Church, 7193 Reynolds Road, Mentor. Pastor Ken Sowers Jr. will officiate. Linda passed away Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at her home. Born Dec. 1, 1939, in Cleveland, Linda grew up in Cleveland, and lived in Mentor and Missouri before settling in Willoughby. A 1958 graduate of Shaw High in Cleveland, Linda was employed by the Willoughby-Eastlake Public Schools. She was a cafeteria worker at Longfellow and McKinley Elementary Schools. This is where she met her dear lifelong friends, Ellie Stone, Corie Hildebrant and Linda Vendeland. Linda loved to travel with her husband. They explored many places around the world, including England, Europe and South America. Her favorite past time was to spend time with her family and friends. Linda was kind and thoughtful, often putting the needs of others ahead of her own. She loved to laugh and brought that laughter with her wherever she went. She is survived by her husband, Roger Kornblum; son, Christopher (Ainslie) Reschke; two grandchildren, Alexandra Reschke and Victory Smith; stepchildren, Eric (Barbara) Kornblum, Bob (Monica) Kornblum, Edwin Kornblum, Kristine (Guido) Kubulins, and Heidi (Dana) Laurance; stepgrandchildren, Kayla, Kayle, Kara, Matt, Amanda, Sam, Karlina, Rachael, Ashley and Cody; and cousins, Jan (Dave) Jastrrzepski, Judy Burdy and Edward Golob. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Agnes Crawford; brother, Jim; and special aunt, Mildred (Angel) Cook. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Prince of Peace Church prior to the service. Burial will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens in Willoughby. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 E. 185th St., Cleveland, OH 44119, or Doc's Deepwood Run, P.O. Box 1131, Mentor, OH 44061 Arrangements are being handled by McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
