Memorial Mass for Dale M. Lucas, age 59, of Garfield Heights, will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine St., Willowick. Dale passed away Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at home. Dale was employed as a customer service engineer at Unisys. He also owned and operated MF Sound, which provided lighting and sound services at the Phantasy Nite Club on Detroit Avenue in Lakewood. He was the dear brother of Frank III, Fr. Ted, Phillip, James, and David; uncle of Catherine Mary Lucas, Michael Lucas, and Matthew Lucas; great uncle of Xavier Bevier; nephew of Dorothy Cassidy; and cousin of Stephen, Laura and Patrick Cassidy and Cindy Weaver Chandler. His chosen family members include Jo Ann Schillingworth, Jamie Schillingworth Franklin, and Olivia Franklin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank J. and Mary (nee Allen) Lucas Jr.; grandparents, Frank J.and Grace (nee White) Lucas Sr., and Theodore and Agnes (nee Guttman) Allen; and uncles and aunts, Joseph and Rhea (nee Lucas) Lingro, John and Frances (nee Lucas) Weaver, John Russo “Uncle Bud,” and Ronald Cassidy. Friends will be received from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at St. Mary Magdalene prior to the Mass. A luncheon will immediately follow the Mass. Interment will be held at a later date in Assumption of St. Mary Cemetery on Brookpark Road in Cleveland. The family requests please no flowers.
