Almeda M. (nee Gaggini) Gill Funeral Mass for Almeda M. (nee Gaggini) Gill, 96, of Mentor, will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor. Fr. Thomas Johns will officiate. Mrs. Gill passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland. Born Feb. 25, 1917, in Kittanning, Pa., she had been a Lake County resident for 32 years, living with her daughter and son-in-law in Mentor. Almeda was a member of St. John Vianney Church and the senior group of the church. She loved to make her ravioli and homemade bread. She was the loving mother of Norma R. (Ronald) Burford of Mentor; cherished grandmother of Jennifer A. (Richard) Hughes, Janis L. (Jeffrey) Petro, Lori S. Pool and Cheryl A. (Matthew) Sparling; great-grandmother of Kaeli, Sean, Cara, Marley, Emma, Megan, Amanda, Scott, Sophia, Jacob and Joseph; sister of Rose Freeman, Louise Panzarello and Velma Long; and aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew J. Gill in 1969; parents, Premo and Josephine (nee Vezzani) Gaggini; and siblings, Aline Angelo, Guido Gaggini and Oswald Gaggini. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor.
