Funeral Mass for Albert C. Hanson, 91, of Willoughby, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be at Willoughby Memorial Gardens. Mr. Hanson passed away Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at his residence. Born May 13, 1922, in Cleveland, he had been a lifelong Lake County resident. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Hanson had worked as a machinist for T.R.W. before retiring in 1982. He was also a retired bus driver for the Kirtland School System. Albert was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Willoughby Knights of Columbus, Third Degree Council 2886 and the D.A.V. (Disabled American Veterans). In his leisure time, he enjoyed woodworking and loved golf. Albert was the loving father of Albert E. (Cindy) Hanson of Oro Valley, Ariz., Kenneth F. Hanson of Slocomb, Ala., Douglas A. (Stephanie) Hanson of Lafayette, La., David K. (Diane) Hanson of Lyndhurst, Barbara A. (Edward) Baitt of Leroy Township and Carrie E. (Charles) Huete of Humbel, Texas; cherished grandfather of 10; great-grandfather of five; brother of Wanda Blatnik and Carol Stark; brother-in-law of Richard Stark and Marge Hanson; and uncle of many. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rita L. (Uhl) Hanson; parents, Alfred and Carrie (Tegethoff); siblings, Helen Hanson, Joan Milton, Charles Hanson, Wesner Hanson, Malcolm Hanson and Vivian Stiglic; brothers-in-law, Charles Blatnik and John Stiglic; and sisters-in-law, Jean Hanson and Agnes Hanson. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38801 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
