Kenneth Vincent Gorslene, 97, formerly of Jefferson, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 25, 2017, at his daughter’s home in Mentor.
Kenneth was born Oct. 11, 1919, on his family’s farm in Chillicothe, the son of the late Dr. James M. and Laura M. (nee Watson) Gorslene.
Ken was a graduate of John Carroll University. His greatest joys were his family, books, sailing, nature, and his country home. His intellectual curiosity never waned, and he remained a student of the universe until the very end.
Mr. Gorslene retired after 35 years from Addressograph-Multigraph Corp.
Kenneth leaves behind his brother, Emerson; daughters, Joyce (Robert) Heiser, Dee Logan, and Renee (Frank) Petro; five stepchildren; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Della (nee Walker); brother, James; sister, Julia Armour; grandson, Vincent Lombardo; and great-grandson, Teddy Galicia.
Final arrangements for Kenneth will be private.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
