Obituary for Michael James "Jim" Brennan

Funeral Mass for Michael James “Jim” Brennan, 80, of Mentor, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Divine Word Catholic Church, 8100 Eagle Road, Kirtland.
Mr. Brennan passed away Monday, May 23, 2016, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township.
Born Dec. 26, 1935, in Cleveland, he had been a Lake County resident for the past 48 years.
Jim was a member of Divine Word Church in Kirtland, and the Irish American Club-East Side Inc., in Euclid. He was also a U.S. Army veteran and enjoyed golf, boating and fishing.
Jim was the beloved husband of 54 years to Maureen (nee O’Neill) Brennan; loving father of Michael J. Brennan Jr. (Jane Brewster), Teresa M. Brennan, and Brian W. (Mindy) Brennan; cherished grandfather of Emma, Veronica, Rachel, Erin, Kira, Finn and Liam; brother of Anne Bresson, John L. Brennan, Thomas J. Brennan and Robert P. (Linda) Brennan; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Muriel M. (nee Ducro) Brennan; siblings, William D. Brennan and Mary M. Ruddy; sister-in-law, Margaret Brennan; and brother-in-law, William Ruddy.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
