Memorial services for Heidi Jo Springer, 52, of Willoughby Hills, will be 6 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor.
Heidi passed away Friday, Feb. 13, 2015, as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
Born Nov. 9, 1962, in Cleveland, she had been a lifetime Lake County resident, living in Wickliffe before moving to Willoughby Hills.
She was a 1981 graduate of Wickliffe High School, was involved in triathlons and was highly competitive. She was competitive in skiing and as a swimmer on the swim team. She also enjoyed volleyball, cooking, gardening and her pets.
Heidi earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees and had worked as a nurse anesthetist at The Cleveland Clinic and UH System for more than 30 years.
She was the loving partner of Nistor Proczan; beloved daughter of Shirley G. (nee Anthony) Springer; dear sister of Dale L. (Vivian) Springer, Cynthia A. Springer, Todd A. (Jennifer) Springer, Pamela L. (Mike) Shaver, Scott Springer and Tracey M. (Omar) Navarro; aunt of Janine and Michael Springer, Kaitlin and Allison Shea, Jodi, Todd Jr., and Robby Springer, Joseph Hefler IV, and Eva and Adrian Navarro; and great-aunt of Joseph V, Gavin and Jiana.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce L. Springer.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
