Obituary for Frank O Moore Sr.

Funeral services for Frank O. Moore Sr., 94, of Wickliffe, formerly of Willowick, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Frank passed away Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018, and Mentor Ridge Health and Rehab Center.
He was born July 8, 1924, in New Salem, Pa., the son of the late Walter I. and Lillian (nee Cooley) Moore.
Frank was a U.S. Army veteran, who served during World War II in the Persian Gulf in Iran, where he received his Tech 5. He belonged to the American Legion Post 678 in Willowick, was an avid listener of the Polka Station 24/7 Polka Heaven.
Mr. Moore retired as a machinist from PMC Industries in 1987.
He is survived by his daughter, Roberta Jean (Dave) Wank; son, Donald I. (Karen) Moore and Frank O. (Gayle) Moore Jr. He was also the proud grandfather of Gwenyn Moore, Donald (Michele) Moore and Frank (Katherine) Moore; and great-grandfather of Justin, Hannah, Alyson, Gannon and Stella. Frank was the dear brother of Edna Randolph of Smock, Pa., and Margery Whetzel of Georgia; brother-in-law of Arlene Moore of West Virginia; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Priscilla Eileen (nee Stewart) Moore; sisters, Thelma Deal and Mildred Whitlock; brother, Walter Irvin Moore, who was of Uniontown, Pa.; and daughter-in-law, Donna Jean (nee Nagy) Moore, formerly of North Carolina.
The family wishes to thank Mentor Ridge Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center and Bella Hospice for the care and love they gave Frank.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
