Obituary for Angeline "Angie" Marotta

Angeline "Angie"  Marotta
Angeline “Angie” Marotta passed away peacefully at her home at Wedgewood Estates on April 13, 2018. Her last days were lived with the love and grace that defined her life. Angie was born on December 19, 1923 in Mentor, Ohio, the middle daughter of Nick and Mary Castello.
Angie is survived by her children, Justin (Lynn) Marotta, Lucia (Rod) Morton, and Tish MacDonald; grandchildren, J. Eric (Natalie), John (Nicole), and Jeffrey (Angela) Marotta, Rodney, Joseph (Addie),
and Nicole Morton, and Ian (Lindsey) MacDonald; thirteen great grandchildren with another due soon; and brother-in-law, Jack Schultz.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Patrick ”Pat” Marotta and sisters, Carmela (Nick) Fatica and Mary Jane Schultz.
Angie was a 1941 graduate of Mentor High School and worked as a floral designer and part-owner of Castello Florist and Greenhouse in Mentor. She loved flowers, was a great cook and enjoyed traveling with her husband Pat. She was a past member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Mentor and a member of the Isabella Guild, Knights of Columbus Council 4801.
Angie and Pat moved from Mentor to Mansfield, Ohio in 2006.
Per Angie’s wishes, there will be a private graveside memorial service at Mentor Cemetery at a later date with arrangements handled by McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank the staffs of Wedgewood and Hospice of North Central Ohio for their loving care. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Dr., Ashland OH 44805.
