Obituary for Betty J Rash

Private family services were held for Betty J. (nee Cherkes) Rash, 85, of Painesville.
Mrs. Rash passed away Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at Heartland of Mentor.
Born Oct. 28, 1932, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Lake County for the past 50 years, living in Eastlake and Mentor before moving to Painesville.
She was the loving mother of Lynn A. (Thomas) Chamberlin; grandmother of Graham (Candace) Leirer; great-grandmother of Devin Leirer, June Leirer and Ruthie Leirer; sister of Arlene (Richard) Kokosky, Bob Cherkes, and Linda Zelinski; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in by her husbands, Joseph Francis Leirer and Howard Rash; son, Michael A. Leirer; parents, John and Elizabeth (nee Heller) Cherkes; and brother, John Cherkes Jr.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
