Obituary for James J Hearn

Funeral Mass for James J. Hearn, 87, of Mentor, will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Pastor Timothy Kalista will officiate.
Mr. Hearn passed away Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, at his residence.
Born Nov. 21, 1929, in Cleveland, he had lived in Lansing, Mich., and St. Paul, Minn., before moving to Lake County.
James was a U.S. Army veteran, who had served in France. He was also a member of the American Legion, enjoyed reading and loved animals.
He was the cherished uncle of Joseph Forristal Jr., James Forristal, Robert Forristal, Rita “Terry” Ziemak and Barbara Litwinick; and the great-uncle of many.
James was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bernadette Hearn; parents, James C. and Mabel (nee DeLozier) Hearn; sisters, Rita I. (Joseph, dec.) Forristal, and Norma E. Hearn; nephews and nieces, Russell Forristal, Leonard Forristal, Dee Clarke and Mickey Preckler.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery.
