Obituary for John F Reed

Private family services were held for John F. Reed, 80, of Madison.
Mr. Reed passed away Friday, May 19, 2017, at Lantern of Madison.
Born Aug. 24, 1937, in Warren, Pa., he had been a Lake County resident for 47 years, living in Perry before moving to Madison.
John was very active with the Boy Scouts of America and the Explorers. He was an active lifetime member of the Church of the Nazarene in Painesville, where he served as treasurer, trustee and Sunday school teacher. John was also a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. He enjoyed cooking on the grill, working with electricity and had many part-time jobs.
John was the beloved husband of 60 years to Patricia L. (nee Bopp) Reed; loving father of James F. (Christine) Reed and Jennifer L. (Andrew) Brown; and cherished grandfather of Ariana (Patrick) Skeese, Olivia Reed, Theodore Reed, John-Elliott Brown, Benjamin Brown and Isaac Brown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Geneva (nee Peterson) Reed.
Burial was held in Perry Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
