Obituary for Terry W Black

Terry W. Black, 74, of Mentor, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Heartland of Mentor.
Born Nov. 17, 1942, in Garards Fort, Pa., he had been a resident of Lake County for more than 30 years.
Terry was a U.S. Army veteran, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and playing flag football for years. He had also been a softball coach for Mentor Girls Softball.
Mr. Black was a retired ironworker and a proud member of Ironworkers Local 17.
Terry was the beloved husband of 52 years to Pamela J. (nee Haines) Black; loving father of Melissa R. (Michael) Perry and Misty A. Black; cherished grandfather of Tiffany, Cody, Savahanna, Zachary, Garrett and Brayden; great-grandfather of Ryker, Ayden, and Bryson; brother of Shannon Black, Darrel Black, Jan Black and Sharon Richter; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sanford and Dorothy (nee Collins) Black; and sister, Shirley Wade.
Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby, with a prayer service at 1 p.m. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
