Funeral Mass for John Lenny Bucar, 80, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2017, at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor.
Mr. Bucar passed away March 9, 2017, at Hospice of the Western Reserve.
Born March 30, 1936, in Cleveland, he had lived in Cleveland before moving to Lake County 65 years ago.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, member of Willoughby Eagles Aerie 2300, a life member of AmVets Post 109, and enjoyed working outside around the house.
Mr. Bucar had worked at Ohio Gear and retired from Caterpillar Tractor.
He is survived by a niece, nephews and their families.
John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia Louise (nee Patterson) Bucar; parents, Joseph and Mary (nee Kostar) Bucar; and brother, Richard Bucar.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Entombment will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
