Obituary for Gary Wayne Marts
Private family services will be held for Gary Wayne Marts Sr., 65, of Mentor-on-the-Lake.
Mr. Marts passed away Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights.
Born June 8, 1951, in Euclid, he had been a Lake County resident for the past 40 years.
Gary enjoyed camping in Jefferson with his buddies, Chuck, Ragine, George and Billy, and truly loved his grandchildren.
Mr. Marts was a hard working welder at TRW Valve Division for 33 years, retiring in 2002.
Gary was the beloved husband of 43 years to Nancy Lee (nee Champagne) Marts; loving father of Gary W. Jr. (Brigitte) of Eastlake, and Vicky L. Marts of Willoughby; grandfather of Cody, Gary III, and Tommy; brother of Gloria (George) Davis, Richard (Sharon) Marts and Elaine Collier; in-law of Joe Champagne, Jim Champagne, Al Champagne, Lorraine (Ron) Carr and Pat Edwards; and uncle of many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Dorothy (nee Rombauch) Marts; and brother, Al Marts.
Burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in care of the family.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
