Obituary for Beverly Anne Sapatka

Celebration of Life service for Beverly Anne (nee Poore) Sapatka, 83, of Euclid, will be 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby.
Mrs. Sapatka passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, at the Slovene Home for the Aged in Cleveland.
Born Nov. 2, 1933, in East Cleveland, she had been a resident of Euclid for the past 49 years.
She was a former member of the Ladies Guild of St. Christine’s Church in Euclid and was very fond of animals, especially her dogs and cats.
Mrs. Sapatka had worked at White Motors and then for the Shaker Heights Board of Education for more than 30 years.
She was the loving mother of Ronald James Sapatka Jr., Sharon (Joe) Semick, Thomas M. Sapatka, Carole A. (Daniel) Doyle, and Robert W. (Sandra) Sapatka; cherished grandmother of Nicholas John, Sarah Rose, Douglas, Danielle, Heather, Benjamin and Zachary; sister of Robert Poore, William (Barbara) Poore and Katherine (David) Gartner; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald J. Sr.; and parents, McKinley and Bertha (nee Yeddie) Poore.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at The Abbey of Willoughby. Burial will be private.
The family suggests contributions be made to the Cuyahoga County Animal Protective League (APL), 1729 Willey Ave., Cleveland, OH 44113.
