Celebration of Life services for Joseph George Strogin, 33, of Cleveland, formerly of Concord Township, will be 6 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Pastor Beth Wilterbink will officiate.
Mr. Strogin passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, in Cleveland.
Born Jan. 14, 1983, in Mayfield, he had lived in Concord Township/Painesville before moving Cleveland a year ago.
Joe was a Riverside High School graduate and had attended Lakeland Community College. He loved golf, but softball was his passion, and he had more friends than you could count.
He was preceded in death by his dear parents, Dale and Susan (nee Nicely) Strogin; brother, Edward Fowler; grandparents, Constance and George Nicely; and aunt, Robin Nicely.
Joe was survived by his aunt and uncle who had raised him since the age of 12, Geoffrey and Susan Nicely; siblings, Amy (Steve) Davies, Christen (Bill) McComb, Richard (Jenn) Nicely and Daniel (Deena) Nicely; nieces, Amelia Davies and Morgan Fowler; sister-in-law, Donna (Fowler) Piunno; aunts and uncles, Kathy (Gene) Cervantes, Mike (Kelli) Nicely, Tim Nicely, George (Lisa) Nicely and Chris (Judy) Nicely; loving companion, Kate Conochan; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
