Funeral services for Rebecca Louise Rose-Solinsky, 91, of Wickliffe, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Pastor Mike Currier will officiate.
Mrs. Solinsky passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, at Brookdale of Wickliffe.
Born July 6, 1925, in Uniontown, Pa., she had lived in Mentor for 54 years before moving to Wickliffe.
She was a member of Old South Church in Kirtland and the Colonial Crafters. Rebecca was an avid reader, and enjoyed quilting, knitting and gardening. She was also a 52-year breast cancer survivor.
The family wishes to thank the staff and residents of Brookdale of Wickliffe for their kindness shown to Mom.
She was the loving mother of Jeanette (Chuck) Van Horn; mother-in-law of Cindy Solinsky; cherished grandmother of Chuck Van Horn, Adam Solinsky, Ora Solinsky, Vanessa Winkler, Kara Solinsky, Tonya Solinsky-Holtsclaw, Meghan Teaney and Mathew Teaney; great-grandmother of Declan Mark Winkler; and sister of Avis Telders.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Solinsky; son, Frederick Solinsky; parents, John L. and Lauretta R. (nee Myers) Rose; and sibling, Dete Nutley.
Family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
