Obituary for Bernard Schroeder
Funeral services for Bernard Schroeder, 73, of Willoughby, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Mr. Schroeder passed away Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born June 10, 1943, in Germany, he had been a resident of Lake County for the past 48 years.
He was a member of the Mentor Eagles.
Bernard was the beloved husband of 54 years to Charlene Vilma (nee Wilkinson) Schroeder; loving father of Jessica Johnson and Danny Schroeder; cherished grandfather of Danielle Johnson and Ashley Johnson; great-grandfather of Dominic Cirelli and Carson Duplessis; brother of Ricky Schroeder; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Louise (nee Gutsche) Schroeder; and brother, Dieter Schroeder.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
