Goldie J  Kushan
Funeral Mass for Goldie J. Kushan, 96, of Willowick, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine St., Willowick.
Miss Kushan passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born March 21, 1920, in Cleveland, she had lived in Cleveland and Euclid before moving to Lake County 44 years ago, living in Willowick.
Goldie was a member of the Red Hat Society, a proud member of Collinwood High School Class of 1940, member of St. Mary Magdalene Church in Willowick and loved spending time with her family. She was a very proud Aunt.
Goldie was the loving sister of Alice M. Ackerman of Willowick; dearest aunt of Gary A. (Shelley) Ackerman, Pamela Ackerman, Christine (Bill) Long, Larry (Debbie) Kushan, Richard (Marcia) Kushan, John W. (Peri) Kushan, Linda Ackerman. Micki Ackerman; and aunt of many great nieces, and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Josephine (nee Jerse) Kushan; brother, John W. Kushan; sister-in-law, Patricia Kushan; brother-in-law, Richard Ackerman; nephews, Dennis R. Ackerman, Thomas J. Ackerman and Gregory D. Ackerman; and niece, Patricia Russo.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her name to the Lake County Council on Aging “Meals on Wheels” program, especially at it’s distribution point located at the JFK Senior Center in Eastlake.
