Obituary for Rita Linda Bellamy
Celebration of Life for Rita Linda Bellamy (nee Melton), age 65, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Kirtland Christian Fellowship, 10001 Chillicothe Road, Kirtland.
Rita passed away Sept. 18, 2016, at Hospice House in Euclid.
She was born March 20, 1951, in Cleveland to A. P. and Rita (nee St. Clair) Melton.
She received a degree in social work from Cleveland State University in June 1995, and worked first to connect seniors in Cleveland to the services they needed. She then worked for Hospice of the Western Reserve throughout Lake County to bring comfort and support.
Rita was married for more than 30 happy years to Roy R. Bellamy. Together they enjoyed camping and traveling particularly to Nashville and New England. Rita was able to enjoy several years of retirement. She was involved in her church, Kirtland Christian Fellowship, in several Bible studies and Sunday services. She was deeply loved by many, both for her warm heart and her great faith.
Rita was preceded in death by both parents and her husband.
She will be deeply missed by her stepson, Mark Bellamy; and numerous dear family members and friends.
Private interment will be held in Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights.
Those who wish to honor Rita’s life may send a donation to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110-2602.
