Marjorie Inez  Troy
Funeral Mass for Marjorie I. (nee Farrell) Troy, 91, of Willowick, will be 12 noon Monday at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine St., Willowick.
Mrs. Troy passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born July 29, 1924, in Scottsville, N.Y., she had been a Lake County resident for 60 years, and had lived in Cleveland and Eastlake before moving to Willowick.
Marjorie was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Church in Willowick, and enjoyed reading about history and anything Irish. She was “proud of her Irish Heritage” and growing up on the farm in Scottsville. She graduated from Scottsville High School, where she was chosen as the Homecoming Queen.
Mrs. Troy had worked as a sales clerk at Giant Tiger and K-Mart. She had also worked as presiding Judge for the Lake County Board of Elections.
Marjorie was the loving mother of Daniel P. Troy (companion, Carol) of Willowick, Thomas B. (Donna) Troy of Chester Township, Kerry J. Troy (companion, Trish) of Willowick, and Mary M. Stark of Kirtland; cherished grandmother of Ryan, Matthew, Kelly, Molly, Benjamin, Megan and Bridget; great-grandmother of Connor; aunt of nieces and nephews; and extended family members, Heidi, Sandy and Dave.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John E. Troy; son, John F. Troy; daughter, Colleen A. Clapp; parents, Francis and Alma (nee Farley) Farrell; and siblings, Dorothy Gisiger, William Farrell, James Farrell, Ruth Linder, Edward Farrell and Jane Weber.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Prayers will also be offered from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
