Betty J  Wilson
Funeral Mass for Betty J. (nee Mathieson) Wilson, 83, of Eastlake, will be 12 noon Saturday at St. Justin Martyr Church, 35781 Stevens Blvd., Eastlake. Fr. Kevin Liebhardt will officiate the Mass.
Mrs. Wilson passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born Nov. 25, 1932, in Pennsylvania, she had been a resident of Lake County for the past 48 years.
Betty was a longtime member of St. Justin Martyr Church in Eastlake and enjoyed gardening and ceramics. She was also a great baker, but most of all, she loved her family and grandchildren.
She was the loving mother of Diane M. (Ron) Eastridge, Karen L. (Norbert) Mrazeck; David J. (Deb) Wilson and Douglas F. (Lisa) Wilson; cherished grandmother of 14; great-grandmother of seven; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John A. Wilson; parents, Irvin and Bertha (nee Diamond) Mathieson; and siblings, Eugene Mathieson, Robert “Lum” Mathieson and Francis “Franny” Madison.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
