Grandma is well-known for her legendary meatballs---even across state lines. When Justin and I lived in San Diego, I packed Grandma's (frozen) meatballs in my suitcase and flew them across the country to share with my colleagues at Steele Canyon High School. When we lived in Lexington, I shared her meatballs with my fellow graduate students and professors at the University of Kentucky. Everyone loved them!
A common joke in our family is just how TIGHTLY Grandma packed her food--be they the meatballs or her delicious cookies. We joked about needing a hacksaw just to open the tape and packaging!
To my knowledge, Grandma privately shared her meatball recipe with Justin. So one day he will have to make us all a big batch!!!
