Obituary for Raymond M Cowman

Private family services were held for Raymond M. Cowman, 92, of Concord Township.
Mr. Cowman passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born Aug. 25, 1923, in Des Moines, Iowa, he had lived in Collinwood before moving to Lake County 25 years ago, living in Concord Township.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of St. Mary’s Church on Holmes Ave., in Cleveland.
Raymond was the beloved husband of 53 years to Hedwig M. “Hedy” (nee Kozel) Cowman; loving father of Sheilaeae (Ron) Wendeln and Brian J. Cowman; cherished grandfather of Zachary Wendeln and Briana Cowman; and uncle of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milo and Anna (nee Mekus) Cowman; and sister, Millie Weiher.
The family suggests contributions in his name be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
