Life Story for Anthony J Cirelli
Anthony J. Cirelli, 28, of Mentor, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 31, 2016, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 30, 1987, in Painesville.
Anthony was the loving father of Dominic, who was truly the love of his life. The happiest times where those spent with his son. His eyes lit up when he was with him. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially the CAVS.
Anthony had battled the demon of heroin addiction. He struggled bravely and had quoted the late Robin Williams on his own Facebook page saying, “All it takes is a beautiful fake smile to hide an injured soul and they will never notice how broken you really are.” He grew tired and needed to escape the demon and find peace. If you knew Anthony, he did it his way. It is devastating to his family and friends, as he was so loved and will be deeply missed by all. Please remember it’s not easy to be brave, so don’t be afraid to seek help and lean on those who love you.
He was the loving father of his dear son, Dominic Cirelli; beloved son of Mary L. (nee Gress) Cirelli and John M. Cirelli; brother of Jonathon Wright, Johnny Cirelli and Samantha Cirelli. He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Mary E. (nee Barker) Gress.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Donald W. Gress; paternal grandparents, John and Jean (nee Goff) Cirelli; and uncle, Don R. Gress.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor, where a funeral service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
