Obituary for Thomas F Ockuly
Mass of Christian Burial for Thomas F. Ockuly, 92, will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2015, at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Phoenix, Ariz.
Mr. Ockuly passed away Oct. 24, 2015.
He was born March 10, 1923.
Mr. Ockuly was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a retired supervisor of Wind Tunnel Operations at NASA in Cleveland.
Survivors are his wife of nearly 70 years, Dorothy (nee Ryan) Ockuly; children, Jean Ockuly, Thomas J. (Kathy) Ockuly, Lou-Anne Dillard, Peggy (John) Morgan, John (Diane) Ockuly and Bob (Patricia) Ockuly; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brothers, James and Eugene.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aloysius and Magdalena "Lane" Ockuly; and sister, Marian Celesnik.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Phoeniz, Ariz.
In lie of flowers, contributions are suggested to St. Vincent DePaul, c/o OLV Church, 3220 West Greenway Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85053, or Hospice of the Valley, 1510 East Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014-5656.
Local arrangements are entrusted to Jeff Monreal Funeral Home in Willoughby and Mentor.
