Celebration of Life services for Barry A. Feathers, 71, of Willoughby, will be 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby.
Mr. Feathers passed away Friday, Oct. 9, 2015, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born Dec. 4, 1943, in Johnstown, Pa., he had been a lifetime resident of Lake County.
Mr. Feathers was an ordained minister, a Brown Belt in Isshinryu Karate, and an astrologer, owner of Secrets by Stars and member of the Lake County Astrology Association. He had attended Las Vegas Dealers School, and was a member of the Lake County Democratic Party where he served on the Central and Executive Committees, the Lions Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2300 in Willoughby, and Mentor Senior Center.
Mr. Feathers had worked at the Lake County Court House, BSVI, concession stand, for 35 years.
He was the beloved husband of 22 years to Mary C. (nee Hare) Feathers; loving brother of Douglas C. Feathers, Gregory J. (Stephany) Feathers and Deborah A. Kelsh; and best friend of Christine J. Page Estvanko. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon M. and Ellen (nee Seese) Feathers; and brother, Leon G. “Lee” Feathers.
Family will receive friends from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at The Abbey of Willoughby. Burial will be private.
