Obituary for Norma Emma Bishop
Funeral Mass for Norma Emma (nee Runkel) Bishop, 92, of Mentor, will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor. (Family and friends are asked to please meet at the church.)
Mrs. Bishop passed away Oct. 1, 2015, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born June 14, 1923, in Cleveland, she had lived in Euclid before moving to Lake County 18 years ago.
She was a volunteer at Governor’s Pointe for eight years and loved spending time with her family.
Mrs. Bishop retired from Hough Bakery, where she worked in the catering department.
She was the loving mother of Karen Clemens and Edward (Cathy) Bishop; cherished grandmother of Lisa (Tony), Dennis, Kristin, Lindsey (Joseph), Jillian (TJ), and Jennifer; great-grandmother of Anthony, Nick, Lauryn, Dylan, Anna, Josephine and Grace; and sister of Earlene.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Bishop; parents, Earl and Sylvia (nee Mushek) Runkel: and sister, Evelyn.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Entombment will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
