Obituary for Arveda J Helmick
Celebration of Life services for Arveda J. (nee Cassady) Helmick, 89, of Willoughby, will be 6:30 p.m. Saturday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Mrs. Helmick passed away Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, at Golden Living Center in Kirtland.
Born April 21, 1926, in Davis, W.Va., she had been a resident of Lake County for the past four years.
She was the loving mother of Michael J. (Bernice) Helmick; cherished grandmother of AnnMarie (Steven) Helmick-Roeder, Kathleen Helmick (Mitchell Brejcha), Zachary Helmick and Mikayla Helmick; great-grandmother of Hailey, Madison, Zoey and Steven; sister of Gladys (Bert) Rains and Harold (Phyliss) Cassady; aunt of nieces and nephews; and beloved friend of Betty Ann Toth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Alcinda (nee Loughry) Helmick; and siblings, Eugene Cassady, Leonard Cassady and Norma Cassady.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Whitehaven Memorial Park in Mayfield Village.
