Obituary for Victoria Jean Buell
Funeral services for Victoria Jean (nee Barr) Buell, 71, of Mentor, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Mrs. Buell passed away Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015, at Altercare of Mentor Nursing Facility.
Born July 31, 1944, in Zanesville, she had been a Lake County resident for the past 40 years, living in Kirtland for 20 years before moving to Mentor 20 years ago.
Victoria was a member of the Mentor Garden Club, a 1963 graduate of Eastlake North High School and attended Ohio Wesleyan College. She enjoyed helping to make things for the needy, Raggedy Ann and Andy, and was always generous in her life. Foremost, she loved and helped her family and was a friend to all. She could do no more.
Mrs. Buell worked at Bailey Meter and Telshe Yeshiva in Wickliffe, retiring in 2004.
She was the beloved wife of 50 years to James B. Buell; loving mother of Jeanette R. (John) Hitchcock and Judith Tracy Curtis; cherished grandmother of Megan, A. Curtis, Ryan J. Curtis and Lauren T. Cook; sister of Ginger (Edward) Stinson and Denver Barr; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Mary Ellen (nee Tracy) Barr.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Whitehaven Memorial Park in Mayfield Village.
