Obituary for Margaret "Peggy" Kostelnik

Funeral Mass for Margaret “Peggy” (nee DeVan) Kostelnik, 60, of Concord Township, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Church, 242 N. State St., Painesville. (Friends are asked to meet at the church.) Fr. Chris Zerucha will officiate the Mass.
Mrs. Kostelnik passed away Monday, July 27, 2015, at her home.
Born Oct. 12, 1954, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Concord Township for the past 23 years.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Painesville and an active member Greyhound Adoption of Ohio. Peggy loved her dogs and her horse. She also enjoyed going to their cabin near Pymatuning, where it was nice and peaceful.
Mrs. Kostelnik was a 27-year employee of the City of Willoughby, where she had been a secretary with the Community Development Department and the Airport Commission, Deputy Council Clerk, and the administrative assistant to Mayor Dave Anderson for the past four years.
She was the beloved wife of 23 years to William J. “Bill” Kostelnik; sister of Richard T. DeVan; sister-in-law of Melanie Clark, Tom (Linda) Kostelnik, Connie (Gerry) Theobald, John Kostelnik, Marla Trisler, Nancy McLaughlin, Patty (Kevin) Byrnes, Carol Hutchinson, Gail (Ken) Brugh, Kenny Kostelnik and Kevin Kostelnik; daughter-in-law of Mickey and Mary (nee Clifford) Kostelnik; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Talcott E. and Elsie K. (nee Kolarovic) DeVan; and brother, Thomas P. DeVan.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
The family suggests contributions be made to Greyhound Adoption of Ohio, 7122 Country Lane, Chagrin Falls, OH 44023.
