Obituary for Irene J. Urmetz (Kosak)
Funeral Mass for Irene J. Urmetz (nee Kosak), 90, of Willowick will be Friday, 12:30 p.m
at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine St., Willowick. Father Stephen Kaminsky will officiate
the Mass.
Mrs. Urmetz passed away June 8, 2015 at Lake Health West Medical Center, in Willoughby.
Born Dec. 1, 1924 in Cleveland, she had been a Lake County resident living in
Willowick for 59 years.
Irene was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Church in Willowick and served as an active volunteer at the Church and at St. Vincent Charity Hospital. She loved to bowl.
She retired from Pick-n-Pay where she was a cashier and a member of the Retail
Clerks Union.
Irene was the loving mother of Sandra L. Moyle of Mentor, Laura M. (Daniel) Adams of Willowick, and Karen L. (Paul) Orlando of Mentor; cherished grandmother of Timothy (Elizabeth), Jeffrey (Patty), Michelle (Mike), Angela, Steven, Brian, Tina, Carrie and Tori; great grandmother of
Brandon, Jacob, Kennedi, Gavin, Penny and Cessie; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Urmetz who passed away in 1995; son, Bob Urmetz; parents, Stanley and Mary Kosak; and siblings, Hank Kosak, Sue Jerome and Eleanor Gajdzinski.
Family will receive friends at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St.,
(Route 615, n. of Route 2), Mentor, Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery,
Chardon Township.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions in her name to Lake County Humane Society,
7564 Tyler Blvd., Mentor Oh 44060.
