Obituary for Thomas Patrick Coombes
Thomas Patrick “Tom” Coombes, 66, of Bloomington, Ind., formerly of Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Pa., New York and Los Angeles, Calif., passed away April 24, 2015, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 7, 1949, in Cleveland, the son of the late James Arthur and Margaret (nee Fallon) Coombes.
Tom earned at bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Tom was President of Thomas Coombes Associates and IDS Inc. He was the former President of Design Works, former Vice President of Comco, and on the Board of Directors for Cave Group, 111S. Meridian Condominium Association and the Jupiter Group. Tom was also the Director of Purchasing for Poor Richard's Restaurant.
Survivors include his brothers, James A. (Katherine) Coombes III (Katherine), Robert Coombes, Richard Coombes and Ronald Coombes; sister, Janet (Alan) Teran. Tom was also a loving uncle to nine nieces and nephews, James A. Coombes IV, Jack Coombes, Andrea Coombes, Robert Coombes II, Kathryn Coombes, Joseph Coombes, Rebecca Coombes, Kelsey Teran, Jacob Midgett and Alan Teran II.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m Thursday, April 30, 2015, at St. Gregory the Great Church at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 1545 S. Green Road, South Euclid. (Family and friends are asked to please meet at the church.) Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Catholic Charities, 1404 E. 9th Street, Cleveland, OH 44114.
