Graveside services for Lawrence F. Knight, 89, of Mentor, Ohio, will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Langhorne, Pa.
Mr. Knight died March 31, 2015, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township, Ohio.
Born June 26, 1925, in Philadelphia, Pa., he lived in Croyden, Pa., before moving to Langhorne, Pa. He had been a 65-year resident of Langhorne.
He graduated from Bensalem High School in 1943. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the 748th Railway Battalion in the China-Burma-India Theater. Mr. Knight was Scout Master of Troop 19 in Langhorne in the 1960s.
Lawrence worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia for 35 years.
He is survived by his sons, David L. (Mildred) of Butte, Mont., and Stephen M. (Patricia) of Mentor, Ohio; six grandchildren, David Jr., Jonathan, Deborah, Andrew, Robert and Christina; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Doris (Sutton) Knight. His parents, George M. and Jennie (Freiter) Knight; and sister, Johanna Faber.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
