Graveside services for Horace E. Cavallaro, 88, of Mentor, will be noon Tuesday at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township. (Family and friends are asked to please meet at the cemetery.)
Mr. Cavallaro passed away Friday, March 20, 2015, Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born July 1, 1926, in Reggio, Calabria, Italy, he had lived in Euclid before moving to Lake County 54 years ago, living in Mentor.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, enjoyed and was a big fan of the Cleveland Indians, and loved boating and fishing. “Mr. Personality,” was loved by everyone.
Mr. Cavallaro was the owner/operator of Lynnette Co. Inc.
He was the beloved husband of 58 years to Marlene J. (nee Weslee); loving father of Laura L. McFarland, Daniel A. Cavallaro, Stephen A. Cavallaro, James J. (Denise) Cavallaro and Sandra J. Cavallaro; grandfather of Nickolas McFarland, Russell McFarland, Brandon Cavallaro and Carmen Cavallaro; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Elvira (nee Gerigitano) Cavallaro; and siblings, Jean Cavallaro, Theresa Swartz and Tony Cavallaro.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
