Obituary for Jay Alan Bammerlin
Jay Alan Bammerlin, 69, passed away Feb. 14, 2015, in Florida.
He was a 1964 graduate of Euclid High School. After high school, he served in the armed forces.
Mr. Bammerlin worked at several jobs before becoming a fireman and EMT for the Eastlake Fire Department, until he retired in 2000. He then moved to Venice, Fla.
He is survived by his daughter, Carol (Rick) Seibt; grandchildren,
Andrew Seibt and Alexandra Seibt; brother, Dean (Jan) Bammerlin; sister, Gail Miller; nieces and nephews, Darryl (Molly), Deana (Matt), Derek and Dawn; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Olivia, Harper, Nico and Samantha; and his loving canine companion, his Yellow Lab named "LUTU.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marie Bammerlin.
Family will receive friends for a memorial service and celebration of Jay's life at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2015, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave., (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lake County Humane
Society, 7564 Tyler Blvd., Mentor, OH 44060, in honor of his love for dogs.
