Funeral Mass for Kenneth A. Ziel, 87, of Willoughby, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Mr. Ziel passed away Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, at University Hospitals of Cleveland. Born Nov. 13, 1927, in Cleveland, he had been a Lake County resident for 50 years, living in Willoughby. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby. Mr. Ziel was a former coach of the Willoughby Baseball League and a manager for more than 20 years. He was also a starter at Manakiki Golf Course. He was the beloved husband of 62 years to Nancy R. (nee Nugent) Ziel; loving mother of Jacqueline A. (Randy) Tatum, Leslie P. (Robert) Olson, Kenneth C. “Casey” (Kim) Ziel, Patty E. (Joe) Kleinhenz and Daniel J. Ziel; cherished grandfather of Ben, Lucas, Carolyn, Anthony, Laura, Tracy and Jo Jo; great-grandfather of Madeline and Isabel; and brother of David (Marlene) Ziel and Wahneta Ziel. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Austin; and parents, Carl and Lena (nee Kane) Ziel. Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be held at a later date in Oakdale Cemetery in Jefferson. The family suggests contributions in his name be made to the HighPointe Center, c/o Austin Ziel Scholarship Fund, 7313 S.
