William Guy Wilson joined his father, Wayne Wilson, Jr. and his beloved wife, Rose, in Heaven on December 30, 2020.
He leaves behind his mother, Velma H. (nee Tabory); daughter, Molly; sister, Jeannie (Barron) Tenney; brother, Matt (Monica); sisters-in-law, Irene and Patricia Sullivan; brothers-in-law, Fr. John Sullivan, Mark (Cathy), Terry (Chris), and Tom (Barb) Sullivan; nieces and nephews; and fiancée, Lynn Doskocil.
Mr. Wilson graduated from Kirtland High School in 1971, and Ohio University in Athens in 1974.
He worked for many years as a salesman for Custom Design Cabinets and Tops in Painesville.
He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed gardening and reading a good mystery novel. He liked to take long drives, walks through Cuyahoga Valley National Park and by the river on Dodd Road. Guy enjoyed attending the theatre with his daughter and watching movies. He also enjoyed traveling. His favorite trips included Walt Disney World and San Francisco. He loved fishing at Montmere Lake with his brother and nephew. Guy was blessed with a great sense of humor and the love of his life was his family.
A Prayer Service will be held 11 a.m. Jan. 6, 2021, at St. John Vianney Parish, 7575 Bellflower Rd., Mentor. Fr. Thomas Johns will officiate. Internment at All Souls Cemetery will immediately follow. Due to COVID, social distancing and use of masks will be in effect. A Celebration of Guy’s Life will be held in the summer.
